Planet Rugby piazza 4 dico 4 azzurri e se per Parisse ormai è un'abitudine e con Furno e Ghiraldini premiano comunque giocatori che militano in Inghilterra, la vera sorpresa è la presenza di Giamba Venditti: premiata la sua meta "da opportunista"... secondo me meritato e non solo per quello.
Neanche menzione, invece, per il MoM di Murrayfield...

15 Leigh Halfpenny (Wales): Kicked everything from everywhere as one of a number of French-based Welsh players who excelled in Paris. Having such a prestigious goalkicker is a real luxury for Warren Gatland's side. Although he struggled at times in Dublin, Alex Goode was still one of England's better players.
14 George North (Wales): One of his finer games in recent times as North celebrated becoming the youngest ever player to reach 50 Test caps for his country. North made a team-high 71 metres from seven carries.
13 Jonathan Davies (Wales): Another standout performer in midfield for Wales, Davies has kicked on since that sluggish start against England in Round 1. His struggles for game-time at Clermont didn't matter here.
12 Robbie Henshaw (Ireland): 13 tackles and a brilliantly taken try for Henshaw against England made him one of the first names on the teamsheet. Has taken to international rugby with ease, arguably better than his partner Jared Payne, with a long career in the green jersey ahead of him at 21.
11 Giovanbattista Vendetti (Italy): Crucial opportunitistic score against Scotland when he was the quickest to react after a penalty hit the posts. A game-changing moment from the young winger who tackled well.
10 Jonathan Sexton (Ireland): No doubts here. Sexton wasn't just great with his kicking, he tackled well (notably on George Ford), won breakdown penalties and gave his all to put Ireland in a position to win the game before departing with half an hour to go.
9 Conor Murray (Ireland): Somewhat unfairly overshadowed by Sexton, Murray's box-kicking created two major moments for Ireland including an early penalty and the build-up to Henshaw's try. Made his opposite man Ben Youngs look average.
8 Sergio Parisse (Italy): Another week, another stormer from the Italian talisman. Victory over Scotland meant plenty to Parisse and he did his part in earning it, with an impressive 68 metres from 11 carries beating defenders along the way. Having another blinding tournament. Billy Vunipola was one of England's best players in defeat in Dublin.
7 Tommy O'Donnell (Ireland): Losing flanker Sean O'Brien could have been a major setback for Ireland but O'Donnell made sure the Tullow Tank wasn't heavily missed. 13 tackles in a dogged performance from the rising Munster star confirmed his talent as he also carried ten times. Sam Warburton starred by making countless turnovers at the ruck.
6 Dan Lydiate (Wales): Who knew he had it in him? Lydiate often gets criticised for being one-dimensional but his brilliant pass to Dan Biggar in Paris gave Wales their only try of the game. The Ospreys flanker also weighed in with 12 tackles, which is almost low for him. Peter O'Mahony just misses out.
5 Joshua Furno (Italy): If he could play like this consistently Furno would be one of the world's top locks. Dominant against the Scots, Furno's first-half try was crucial and he chipped in with five line-out takes and tackles, while making nine carries and 45 metres in the loose. Just edges out a fired up Paul O'Connell.
4 Alun-Wyn Jones (Wales): Shifted into the number four jersey is Wales talismanic lock. Yet another towering performance right in the heart of the excellent Welsh pack in Paris. Carried well and won four line-outs, keeping out the man alongside him, Luke Charteris.
3 Samson Lee (Wales): Far stronger in the set-piece in Paris, Wales really benefited from having Lee back on the tighthead side of the scrum as they won ten of their own scrums. Also made eight tackles.
2 Leonardo Ghiraldini (Italy): Tough to leave out Scott Baldwin after the Welsh line-out went 10/10 against France, but Ghiraldini was outstanding for the Azzurri at Murrayfield. 13 tackles and nine carries from the robust hooker.
1 Eddy Ben Arous (France): Might not have had the better of Lee in the scrums but certainly didn't let his side down either. Ben Arous is a great option for France around the loose. A real weapon. Holds off the threat of Gethin Jenkins for the spot.
